Lamisil Cream is used to treat athlete’s foot (tinea pedis) in children and tinea cruris (tinea corporis), which is a common skin condition that causes pain, redness, and cracking of the skin.
This product is to treat athlete’s foot. Apply Lamisil Cream once a day at 2 – 3 weeks, on all skin lesions and for 2 weeks, on some of the skin on the foot (redness, itching, cracking, scaling resistance).

Lamisil (terbinafine) is an antifungal medication that fights fungus-caused infection. It treats infections caused by fungus affecting fingernails, toenails and even scalp hair of children ages 4 and above.
Lamisil is an effective treatment for athlete’s foot. It provides healthy foot care with its fungus-fighting properties. Terbinafine hydrochloride treats fungal or yeast infections causing athlete’s foot. It kills the fungus, liketinea cruris(jock itch), ringwormandcandida albicans(athlete’s foot) to prevent it from reproducing and ultimately, stop infection. Terbinafine is available in cream, powder or tablet forms. If used as a cream, it may be applied topically to treat infections located on the superficial skin. The best part about Terbinafine cream is it takes effect in just half the time needed by other antifungal creams.
The typical starting dose for Lamisil is 2 mg three times a day, until symptoms resolve. The dose may also need to be adjusted depending on the type of fungus causing the infection. For jock itch, 8 mg a day for four days is sufficient.
If severe rash develops, then it is important to stop taking Lamisil and seek medical help right away. It is also important to continue taking the medication even if you feel better. Do not stop taking the medication without consulting a doctor.
Lamisil cream is applied to the skin twice a day for three days. Complete the full course of treatment to ensure the infection is eradicated.
Lamisil should be taken with food to avoid stomach upset. If stomach upset occurs, immediately lie down and take all of 1 dose with food. Avoid contact with eyes and nose with the first dose, as it may make your condition more difficult to treat.
Lamisil cream is not recommended for use in children below 4 years of age. Consult your doctor if you have any kidney problems or liver problems, as the medication may cause changes to your kidney function.
Lamisil may cause side effects including headache, nausea, abdominal pain, flu-like symptoms, itching, rash and swelling of the limbs and face.
Do not take Lamisil tablets with milk or other dairy products.
This medication may interfere with certain lab tests and may not provide the desired results.
If you experience any of the side effects or reactions while taking Lamisil cream, contact your doctor immediately.
